Alan QuelchAlan has over 30 years' experience in the hospitality industry. His expertise spans a range of senior finance roles with several international hotel groups including Forte, Rank Hotels Marriott, De Vere,& Kew Green Hotels and more recently Group Financial Controller at Harbour Hotels as well as an interim Group FC spell with Richardson Hotels Group both based on the South coast
After joining the hotel industry in 1981, having already held financial roles with the BBC, Utilities industry & Mayfair Jewellers. The first 7 years were spent as Financial Controller of various top London hotels, The Edwardian at Heathrow, The Westbury Mayfair, The White House on Regents Park. Regional Control roles were to follow with Marriott & Devere with responsibility for, The Grand at Brighton, The Belfry & Cameron House golfing resorts as well as 15 other 4 and 5 star properties within the DeVere Group.
My main achievements to date have been, developing a Full Business Health Check process designed to identify productivity and sales generation opportunities to improve profitability, System implementations, business reorganisation process management, training worskshops in Finance for non finance managers, investment feasabilities, as well as Excel model building to suit the clients needs.
